The ACP Secretariat organised an Information Session on the EDULINK II Call for Proposals launched on 19 March 2012. The Information Session was held on the morning of 30 March 2012 at ACP House in Brussels.

The purpose of the Information Session was threefold:

1. To introduce the new EDULINK II Programme and its objectives;
2. To provide information on the application and the selection procedures of the Call for Proposals;
3. To answer questions and provide technical advice to participants on submitting a proposal under the EDULINK II Call.

The information Session attracted considerable interest throughout the ACP Group of States.

Around 60 people attended the Session, many of them representing ACP embassies or missions in Brussels. 

The Session was opened by Assistant Secretary General Mme Dominique Raymond, representing the ACP Secretariat, and Mr. Denis Salord, representing DEVCO, E5.

The Session continued with two presentations by the EDULINK PMU. Mr. Daniele Mazzanti presented an overview of EDULINK II with its objectives and the main conditions for participation. Mr. Christof Merkle explained the procedures for application, the evaluation process and the most critical issues for submitting a successful application.

A question and answer session then ensued for the remainder of the morning.  Answers were provided by Dr John Kakule (ACP Secretariat), Giuseppe Balducci (DEVCO-E5) and the two PMU experts.

Le secrétariat ACP a organisé une séance d’information sur le appel à propositions pour EDULINK II – qui a été lancé le 19 mars 2012. La séance d’information s’est tenue le 30 mars 2012 à la Maison ACP de Bruxelles.

L’objet de cette séance d’information était triple:

1. présenter le nouveau Programme EDULINK II et ses objectifs;
2. fournir des informations sur la procédure de candidature et de sélection du appel à propositions;
3. répondre aux questions et donner des conseils techniques aux participants concernant la soumission d’une proposition en réponse à ce 4e appel.

La séance d’information a suscité beaucoup d’intérêt dans tout le groupe des États ACP. Quelque 60 personnes ont assisté à la séance, dont de nombreux représentants des ambassades ou des missions des États ACP à Bruxelles.

La séance a été ouverte par Assisstant Secretaire General Mme Dominique Raymond, qui représentait le secrétariat ACP, et M. Denis Salord, qui représentait l’unité E5 de la DG Développement et coopération (DEVCO-E5).

Elle s’est poursuivie avec deux présentations de l’UGP d’EDULINK. M. Daniele Mazzanti a donné un aperçu d’EDULINK II, de ses objectifs et des principales conditions de participation. M. Christof Merkle a expliqué les procédures de candidature, le processus d’évaluation et les aspects les plus importants pour le succès d’une candidature.

La séance a ensuite pris la forme d’une série de questions et réponses. John Kakule (secrétariat ACP), Giuseppe Balducci (DEVCO-E5) et les deux experts de l’UGP se sont chargés de répondre aux questions posées.
